Directions: Applicants for a North Carolina driver license are required to pass a written test and a traffic sign test. Study the North Carolina Driver Handbook to prepare for both tests. There are 25 questions on the North Carolina written test. The minimum passing grade requirement is 80%. On the traffic sign test, you need to identify 9 out of the 12 signs in order to pass.
